A fun day at the play place

I really wanted to do something fun with the kids yesterday so we went to Planet Child, a neat play place that has lots of fun things to do and pretend. Avery found a princess skirt that she wore the whole time and Sean found some gears that he could build projects with. We all had a blast!

This picture was taken on Easter morning before church. It was so cute to see Avery cuddle her Daddy. She has missed him so much and is soooo glad that the family is back together again. Note the matching dress on her dolly. :)

Easter Egg Hunt

We had an easter egg hunt at Grammy's today and it was great! The weather was perfect, 75 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. The kids had lots of fun looking for eggs and even more fun eating the candy inside. We were especially blessed because our beloved Aunt Kathryn came for Easter weekend and was here to share it with us. It just doesn't get better than this!

No rest for the weary..or is it wicked??? :)

Well, after three whole Sunday's in our new ward, I have been called into the young women's presidency as a counselor. Who'd have thought? I tried to remind the bishopric that our family needed time together first but after they asked me to pray about it, I knew it was all over. So, today I was sustained and set apart and met the girls. And I have to say, I couldn't be happier. They are great and I am so excited to get to know them. I'm looking forward to fun activities, girl's camp and lots more. Here's to lots of good times ahead.

Finally...New Pictures!

Hey everyone! Eric took the kids for part of the day and I did my best to make our house feel more like a home. I hung some pictures and added some quotes via vinyl lettering (like I've always wanted to)! It was fun and Eric and the kids were blown away at the change. Will send you more as more rooms get done.

Excercise, Fun and a Trip Through the Time Machine

Tonight after Eric got home from work, I took off to do some shopping. I have decided to join the group of women from church who play volleyball every week. It's every Wednesday, year round, and I am so looking forward to it. Volleyball has always been my favorite sport but I haven't been able to play it for quite some time. And this is where the shopping comes in. :) I checked and my closet was void of athletic apparel and so in preparation for tomorrow, I headed to the store. Found lots of cute things and even a new pair of gym shoes. Yes! I can't wait. Let's just hope I don't break any bones trying to relive my glory days. :)

The Amazing Seany!!

Yesterday, when Avery was napping and I was doing laundry, Sean built this marble course all by himself! He came upstairs to tell me he wanted to show me something and I kept saying in a minute, and finally when he wouldn't relent I went downstairs to look and found this. I was so proud of him and amazed that he was able to build it alone. And the course runs perfectly. Good job Sean! And good job for reminding Mom that I need to make time for the things that really matter.

We have a clothes washer!!!!

After two and a half weeks without a working clothes washer I find myself with a new appreciation for modern convenience's. Our entire bedroom has turned into one large laundry hamper and I am so excited to get it cleaned out. Laundry can actually be exciting! Who knew? :)

Making Progress......

Sorry there haven't been any posts in awhile. My goal this week has been to try and finish unpacking the house and make it feel more like home. I got so tired of walking into every room and just seeing boxes! So, before the weekend hits, I am trying my hardest to get it all done. I am almost done with the office/guest room and next will be finishing the bedroom, and then the toy room. I will post pictures just as soon as I am done.



I have just been feeling so lonely since we've moved here. Eric is still working a lot and will be at least until the end of this month (still budget season). The kids really want to make some friends, but we haven't really gotten to know anyone yet. I did sign Sean up for T-ball which will start later this month, and I also signed Avery up for a gym/tumbling class, which was supposed to start today but has been postponed until April.



The one great thing so far has been the weather. Yesterday it was 75 degrees and since we've been here, the coldest day has been in the 50's. It is such a welcome change from what we're used to. And the sun actually shines here. :) It's amazing.
