We have been going to waterpark resorts during December for the last four years and even though we moved we decided we couldn't break the tradition. The closest one to us for now is the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg so during the week before Christmas, we packed up and headed to Virgina!
It was so wonderful and well worth the 4 hour drive! The whole family had a blast at the waterpark and everyday, the first thing Avery would say when she woke up was, "waterpark please". It was so great! This Great Wolf also has a MagicQuest adventure built in the resort, so we got Sean a wand and did a ton of quests together. It was awesome! One of the best things about going during Christmas time are the extra special activities they have. Every night during storytime, it would snow in the lobby!! And on one of the nights we were there, some of Santa's elves came to bring the kids hot chocolate and coookies.
We made special memories and are so glad that we kept our tradition going.
